1. Revel in an aerial adventure at Aventura Parks

5. Fly over water through Fly boarding

One of the newest extreme sport to be added to UAE’s water sports portfolio is Fly boarding. It consists of a board with a hose that is attached to a jet ski engine. The engine pumps water out of the hose at a great force, allowing one to propel into the air at heights of up to 10 meters. While you’re in the air, the board can be maneuvered using hand controls or even distributing your weight accordingly. The arrangement lets you fly, Iron man Style!

6. Participate in Dubai’s Desert Warrior Challenge on Feb 14, 2020

Prepare for the dirt, rolling sand dunes and finish line cheers as Dubai’s Desert Warrior Challenge returns and it’s bringing back its grueling (but oh so fun!) 22 different obstacles. Covering a distance of 5km or 10km, warriors will be jogging around the lakes through set tracks, along with various obstacles that are both mentally and physically arduous – intended to push you truly out of your comfort zone. Some of the established obstacles include the evergreen favourite, The Beast and the humongous monster slide and the tricky 1/4 Pipe – the adrenaline-pumping final challenge. There’s also Claustrophobia, which will have runners crawl through a dark tunnel with water to wade through. Little ones from ages six and above can tackle a 1km or 2km course, with eight obstacles to get through.

7. Kayak the mangroves

This expedition on the water offers both a strong workout and an opportunity to see the breadth of Abu Dhabi’s vast and varied ecological environment. Paddle the lush greenery of the mangroves to see turtles, snakes, fish, flamingos and varied bird life in general. Guides lead the self-paddle tours and explain ecological facts, while night tours in LED-light-bottomed boats offer a more ethereal experience
