The Al Qudra Lake Sanctuary is a new developed area with lakes, trees and bushed which attracts a lot of animals. The area is great for various activities including, walks, running, MTB or Fat Biking. Picnics are also allowed – but please leave no garbage!

It can get very busy on weekends with many cars which will harm the usual quite atmosphere. Best time to visit is early mornings during the week. You have good chances to encounter many species of birds and even desert antelopes.

The published GPS file is done by Fat Bike and starts at the entrance of the sanctuary goes up on the high dunes for a nice overview of the area and then around the lakes and back. There is plenty of alternative route options with nice dunes in the south.
