On Friday, 31st of January 2014, Yas Marina, operated and managed by Camper & Nicholsons Marinas, plays host to a special Dragon Boating Race and Festival from 12pm to 10pm at Yas Marina on Yas Island Abu Dhabi. The event aims to bring the community together as over 40 teams battle it out for the title, while also providing the ideal spot for families and friends to enjoy dining at restaurants and lounges, playgrounds and interactive musical fountain for the kiddies and many more charter opportunities.
Spectators are encouraged to come down and show their support, the festival will be a vibrant affair with family orientated activities such as children’s dragon mask making, dragon face painting and tattoos from 12-6pm plus DJ and Chinese Lion Dancers from 4-6pm, happening alongside the boat race. After the award ceremony the weekly Kids Film Friday will take place on the promenade from 6pm to 7:30pm followed by live music for the adults from 7.30pm – 10pm.
