Al Tamimi Stables, part of the Al Tamimi Investments portfolio, opened its doors to the public on January 26th 2013. Set in 30 acres of land, the Sharjah destination is just 40 minutes from Dubai with easy access from Emirates Road and will provide leisure and recreation facilities for the community, educate guests on agriculture and horticultural practices and will highlight environmental concerns.

The stables is home to over 500 animal residents from petting farm animals such as rabbits, young reindeer, calves, lambs and sheep to other farm animals including deer, goats, gazelles, oryx, emus and ostriches. As a professional stable, ATS proudly houses over 30 horses including Arabian horses, Andalusians, Napstrappers, Fresians and Shetland Ponies.

The stables have established an educational initiative for children, Hero. The Hero programme promotes interactive learning, healthy living and an appreciation of animals and the natural world. Built around five pillars: nature, sport, horses, creativity, and animal care, Hero aims to inspire children and encourages them to work towards an understanding of the world around them while developing themselves as individuals.

In addition to the extensive outdoor grounds, ATS includes a custom designed welcome centre with a stylish cafe and indoor facilities set to host classes such as fencing, art and crafts, dance, cooking, languages, and a homework club. The purpose built education and recreation centre also boasts its own recording studio to encourage creativity, and expression among its visitors.

The stables are open six days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The price is at 35 AED for adults and 20 AED for children. For more information, bookings or class schedules please visit www.tamimistables.com.
