The UAE-based Al Ahli Cycling Club has today signed a two-year partnership with The Cycle Hub, under the directive to equip the team with the top of the range SPECIALIZED bicycles and equipment for competition in national and international events.
The opportunity for SPECIALIZED to be represented by one of the best cycling teams in the GCC follows the vision of the company to be the “best cycling brand in the world” and their mission “to be the brand of choice by discerning riders.”
Mr Khalid Al Zarooni affirms that “The Cycle Hub as representatives of SPECIALIZED is proud to be selected as the supplier of choice for bicycles and equipment for Al Ahli, who as a team are going from strength to strength in their racing achievements; we are encouraged by the growth of cycling in the UAE and see this important decision by Al Ahli as a demonstration of the region’s commitment to sports development.”
Al Ahli Club Dubai CEO Ahmed Khalifa Hamad quoted “There has been considerable emphasis on cycling in the region in the last couple of years and we at Al Ahli Club Dubai want to take this further, increasing awareness of the fantastic sport, whilst producing some of the top riders competing in the UAE. Partnering The Cycle Hub emphasises our commitment to cycling and will hopefully reflect in our results!
To further support and develop cycling, The Cycle Hub and Al Ahli will carry out activities and educational initiatives to expose the youth and the general public to the benefits and the incredible sport of cycling. This will include appearances at local schools and training at community events.
The Cycle Hub will also operate a store at the Al Ahli club grounds to encourage families to participate and enjoy cycling at a social level while being exposed to some of the world class equipment that the racing team will use to win trophies. The Cycle Hub located in Dubai Motor City is the GCC distributor of key cycling brands SPECIALIZED and Pinarello.
