Kingdom’s only international leisure marine tourism festival welcomes over 30,000 commercial & consumer buyers

His Royal Highness Prince Mishal Bin Majed Bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Jeddah, formally opened the 2010 Saudi International Boat Show yesterday (Wednesday, December 8, 2010). Running until December 11, 2010 at the Al Furusya Marina & Yacht Club in Jeddah, the 2nd edition of the Kingdom’s only international leisure marine tourism festival welcomed more than 30,000 commercial and consumer buyers.
Organised by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), managed by Al Ahlam Marine Tourism Group and endorsed by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, the Saudi International Boat Show 2010 features the products and services of 135 companies and brands from 19 countries.
Key VIP officials, sponsors, exhibitors and invited guests were treated to an official opening ceremony of a spectacular sights and sounds over the beautiful skyline of Jeddah at Al Furusya Marina.
Supported by key government entities such as the Jeddah Islamic Port, Jeddah Police, Jeddah Coast Guards, Jeddah Port Customs Authority, Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jeddah Municipality and Ministry of Foreign Affairs this year’s event introduces 14 new Saudi organisations and brands alongside 74 first-time representatives from leading Asia, North American, European and Australasian players such as Japan Marine, Trinity Yachts, Romeo Marine and Westport.

The second edition of the event marks the largest-ever gathering of marine equipment manufacturers and suppliers in the Kingdom and as Saudi Arabia emerges as one of the world’s elite leisure marine markets, events such as this play a key role in supporting the developments and growth taking place within the country,” said His Highness Prince Abdullah bin Saud bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of Al Ahlam Marine Tourism Group.
Saudi International Boat Show 2010 features a Marina Display Area that showcases top-of-the-range models from the world’s leading boat manufacturers in what is the largest display of superyachts, leisure crafts, fishing boats, power and sailing boats in the Kingdom as well as a dedicated Supplies & Services Pavilion displaying an extensive range of navigation equipment, engines and fixtures and fittings.
Visitors to the event will also be able to enjoy the unique Saudi International Boat Show Dive Village presented by Dream Divers offering diving lessons and courses as well as trials and prize giveaways.

We are delighted to present this year some of the top Saudi manufacturers as well as a strong international contingent in this our second event. The Saudi International Boat Show runs from 8 – 11 December 2010 at the Al Furusya Marina & Yacht Club in Jeddah. The show is open 5pm – 11pm to trade professionals and the general public aged 16 and over.
From 9pm – 11pm, children aged 12 and over are permitted entry provided they are accompanied by an adult at all times. PLEASE NOTE: NO children under the age of 12 will be allowed into the event due to safety reasons.
